TROPIC LASUR

PROPERTIES: FAKOLITH TROPIC LASUR is a veil protector finish, colourless (only for interior use) and/or in wood colours (interior-exterior) that, in a single product, brings together multiple characteristics that normally require several different treatments. Breathable, damp regulating, water-repellent and weather resistant, for use mainly on construction work with virtually all kinds of wood, for interiors but mainly for exteriors. Highly penetrating, with an open-pore finish, free of chlorinated compounds. Following application wood grain will be enhanced. Protects would from rot and aging. Made up with micronized ferrous oxide colloidal pigments that do not remain on the surface of the wood but penetrate into it along with the agglutinant in the pores of the wood, providing maximum protection against outdoor weather effects and UV radiation. Fast drying with an elegant surface matt finish. Provides excellent adhesion and exceptional finish quality, with high performance and good resistance to mechanical wear. Once dry will resist temperatures from -40º to +130ºC.

MAIN USE: FAKOLITH TROPIC LASUR in general, is applicable to new or renovated wooden constructions, such as doorways, pergolas, wooden houses, window frames, railings... on virtually all kinds of wood and climactic conditions. Not suitable for finishes on furniture for children (consult alternatives for this case).

HOW TO APPLY: Carefully protect all surfaces that are not to be treated from splashing. Application at ambient and base temperatures of 0ºC or above. Surfaces must be free of dirt and grime or wood that is superficially deteriorated or has been turned grey by exposure to sunlight. Woods that have a high resin content or are old and greyed will have to be previously sanded down and then cleaned using FK-12. The damp content of the base must be no higher than 16%. Apply a minimum of 2 to 3 coats of FAKOLITH TROPIC LASUR using brushes or rollers, apply no more of the product than the base is capable of absorbing without leaving excess product on the surface. In general we recommend previous priming with FK-7 in a solution of 1:9 with water. Clean utensils immediately after use with solvent. AVERAGE YIELD: FAKOLITH TROPIC LASUR provides a yield of approx. 8-10 litre/m², although this may vary considerably, depending on how it is applied and the texture and absorption of the base.
