ESTone.tex Expanded

DESCRIPTION: ESTone.tex Expanded Mortar is a plastering mortar with lightening mineral additions, mixed with lime, category F1 CS IV W2 and CE marked. Standard in cream color and granulometry 01. With excellent thixotropy, it allows the application of large thicknesses in volumetric recomposition, with less weight, excellent workability, plasticity and optimized open time for subsequent carving and finishing. Its composition with lime increases its compatibility with old bases, where curing, compatibility, welding and durability are of special importance. Applicable with water only or with elite performance enhancing additives (Multilite or FK-19 Plus).

MAIN USE: ESTone.tex Expanded Mortar is ideal for the restoration and creation of lighter plaster elements, both functional and decorative, in the restoration of facades and heritage, in new construction, civil works in general, construction, professional theming, food industry and health sector, industry in general, etc. mainly in vertical and horizontal surfaces. For use in water immersion must use the elite additives and the ESTone.tex Restaura or Elite Extreme versions.

OPTIONAL USE WITH ELITE ADDITIVES: applicable only with water or with the elite performance-enhancing additives.

- MULTILITE: silicate additive that provides plasticity, consolidation, open time workability and increases physical/chemical resistance.

- FK-19 PLUS: pure acrylate and polyurethane additive, which provides waterproofing, plasticity, resistance and increases physical/chemical resistance.

METHOD OF APPLICATION: Protect well all surfaces that should not be treated or splashed. The substrate must be consistent, clean, free of hygroscopic salts, microorganisms, dust, release agents, paint or any other substance that may affect its adhesion. The base must be properly primed and all possible base cracks due to shrinkage, settling, etc. must be stabilized.

1. Prepare the mixture of elite additive + water in a proportion of 1 liter of additive for each 6 liters of water. Prime just before applying the mortar the mineral base with the same elite + water admixture solution that you will use for its mixing.

2. Only with water: Knead the mortar with about 5.4 and 5.6 liters of water for every 23 Kg of ESTone.tex Expanded Mortar.

3. With additive: Knead the mortar with about 5.5 and 5.7 liters of solution for each 23 Kg of ESTone.tex Expanded, (adjust in each case the mixing ratio, depending on the ambient temperature) until obtaining a homogeneous mass without lumps, to proceed to its immediate application, either by hand or sprayed with a machine. The indicated range of mixing ratio varies depending on the ambient temperature, absorption of the base and its use by hand or with a spraying machine. We recommend in each case, to use the smallest possible amount of solution; if after the drying it presents cracks it is because too much liquid part has been used, in case of doubt make a previous sample to determine the ideal ratio.

3. For its use by hand: First spread a very thin coat on the substrate, pressing to let the air out, and then build up again until the required thickness is obtained, with a recommended maximum of 15-20 cm. For use with a machine, spray directly to the desired thickness.

4. Once the mortar has been levelled, wait approx. 1-2 hours to be able to shape, engrave, scrape, theme, being the maximum period of workability from 4-12 hours from its application, variable depending on the temperature and humidity.

5. Once the texture works are done, it will be left to dry for 24 hours, time in which the last effects can be done, and proceed with the finishes.

6. In singular points like structural joints, unions between different materials, windows, and in general for great thicknesses in volumetric reconstruction and professional theming, etc, it is convenient the incorporation in the intermediate part of a reinforcement mesh to reinforce it, increasing the resistance against tensions or dilatations.

7. After application, clean the tools, machinery and/or hoses with water immediately after use, before the mortar sets.

NOTE: It is a thixotropic mortar, if it loses fluidity, shake it again and it will fluidize, and never add more water. For further details and special applications, consult technical data sheet and/or application guides, and safety data sheet.

CONSUMPTION - AVERAGE YIELD: Approx. 13.5 Kg/m² of ESTone.tex Expanded Mortar + 0.50 l. of elite additive per 1 cm of thickness. Approx. 0.90-1l. of elite additive is consumed for every 23 Kg of EST.onetex Expanded Mortar.
