FAKOLITH Aqua Isolier

PRODUCT SUMMARY: FAKOLITH AQUA ISOLIER is a primer or bonding bridge, Low Voc, low odor, high water coverage insulating, color white.

Designed to block the visible migration or bleeding of pigmenting substances from moisture, wood lignin and its derivatives, marks on laminated plasterboard, nicotine, fire residues, construction markers, sprays or color differences in the base support. But it is also especially suitable for conflictive surfaces such as plasterboard type fibre-plaster cladding or similar with Q1–Q2 finish levels.

It allows the support to be isolated and avoids the reading or visual detection of the joints after the application of the finishing paint. It also regulates and homogenises the different absorption values between the fibre-plaster cladding and its putty joints, avoiding the effects of transparency or reading of joints through the finishing paints and helping to reduce the number of coats needed when they could become visible on the final surface.

Also recommended for mineral surfaces such as plaster, mortars, putties, laminated drywall, wood derivatives, plastics, aluminum, zinc, and previous paints and coatings as long as they are well adhered to the base.

METHOD OF APPLICATION: For a good application of a product it is necessary to take into account the state and adequate preparation of the base.

Before its application, all those parts of badly adhered paints must be eliminated. In general the base must be clean, free of humidity and dust. If necessary, clean the base coat with the non-alkaline cleaners FK-12 (salts and microorganisms), FK-112 (greasy dirt), FK-9 (rust), rinse and let it dry. In certain very smooth and hard surfaces, a light sanding of the surface will favor its adequate adherence.

After homogenizing the FAKOLITH AQUA ISOLIER insulator, apply undiluted. Depending on the needs of each surface, apply 1 to 2 coats by brush, roller or:

- Airless Pressure 200-210 bar. Nozzle 0,010-15 inches
  In GRACO FFLP 410-411-412-413-413-414-415
- Airless air-assisted (air-mix) Pressure 140-160 bar.   
   Air 1-1,5 bar (same nozzles).
- High pressure equipment: 3-4 bar. Nozzle 1,8 mm
- Low pressure equipment: 0,48 bar. Nozzle 1,8 mm

Note: only if necessary for the application equipment add up to a maximum of 3% water, taking into account that it will be detrimental to the coverage.

CONSUMPTION - YIELD: It is variable, depending on the absorption, state of the surface and application method. Its average yield can range from 4-6 m²/l. when 2 coats are applied (50 microns equivalent layer) and 8-12 m²/l. when 1 coat is applied (25 microns equivalent layer).
